Mr. Chalfin manages Windward’s long/short portfolio, aims to invest in positions with highly-favorable return probabilities. Prior to founding Windward Management, Mr. Chalfin was a Portfolio Manager for Shay Capital, where he managed a substantially similar concentrated, consumer-focused portfolio. Prior to his tenure at Shay, Mr. Chalfin was a Managing Director at LionEye Capital Management, where he honed his skills and managed an investment team. Mr. Chalfin’s earlier investment management experience includes serving as Sector Head for Consumer and Special Situations (non-healthcare) for HealthCor Management LP, Senior Generalist Analyst at Brahman Capital and Senior Analyst at Knott Partners. Mr. Chalfin has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Prior to joining Windward Management in 2021, Mr. Woo was the co-founder of Voyage Capital Partners, Inc., where he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and was responsible for managing fund operations, fund administration, back-office procedures, as well as trading operations. Mr. Woo worked as a middle-market sales trader at UBS, and as an equity derivatives trader at ABN AMRO. Prior to that, he worked in equity finance and prime brokerage at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (subsidiary of Pershing LLC). Mr. Woo holds a BA Degree in Government from Georgetown University.

Jay Upadhyay is a research analyst at Windward Management. Prior to Windward, Jay was an Investment Analyst at Harbor Spring Capital, a long / short investment firm, where he covered companies across the technology, business services and consumer sectors.

Prior to Harbor Spring, Jay was a Private Equity Associate at Madison Dearborn Partners and an Investment Banking Analyst at The Blackstone Group / PJT Partners. Jay graduated from Brown University with a BA in Economics.
